 School closed today because of County Council elections.

 A officer from Shire Hall took measurements with a view of relaying the school yard.

In the local flower show this school was awarded the second prize (10/-) for school garden.

The following communication was received from Shire Hall last month.

Superannuation allowances have now been awarded to Miss Kate Betteridge and her name must now removed from the staff of the above named school signed W.Y Kirtley.

 Dec 3rd

  A collection in connection with the county benevolent fund was taken today - a sum of £1 was forwarded for the benevolent fund.

 Elizabeth Mills left school this morning at 10 am returned this afternoon at 1.45 pm, she was instructed to attend the Ryhope secondary school for interview re Neville's Cross training college.

 22nd June

G.H.Reavely, James Hissett, G.H.Gregory, James Abbott, George T Lynn school managers checked registers and found them correct.

Mr Hissett checked the registers today.

1926 July 21st

 Messrs Fletcher and Abbott again visited school this morning re boots for the needy children, Mr Hissett checked the registers this afternoon.

1930 July 8th

 

Mr Divene visited the school today to discuss a proposed American tournament among four schools including paddock stile he arrived at 1115 am and left 12 noon.

 July 10th

Mr divine paid a second visit to demonstrate with teams of boys certain games required for American tournament, he arrived at 10 am and left at 2.45 pm

 July 14th

 Two scholars   Albert Willis and Elene Bowes have each gained a county scholarship, elene was also awarded a certificate for 6 years unbroken attendance on Oct 30th

 1930 Dec 16th

Messrs  Hartly and sons (Sunderland) painters and decorators have taken over the school today till Feb 28th 1931.
